Aluminium matrix composites

The aluminium matrix composite is one of the major strategic emerging industries in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. Its products mainly cover the high-performance aluminium alloy powder and aluminium matrix composites, which are mainly used in such fields as the solar conductive paste, paint and rocket propellant. The majority of enterprises engaged in aluminium matrix composites gather in Luxi High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
 
At present, there are 5 micro spherical aluminium powder manufacturers with a production capacity of 48,000 tons per year. Moreover, a number of key backbone enterprises have been cultivated, such as Goldsky Aluminum, Jinhao Technology and Hengyu Technology, and they have been rated as provincial new material enterprises and provincial “little giant” enterprises.
 
Goldsky Aluminum has formulated the National Standard for Nitrogen Atomization of Aluminium Powder, and has made remarkable achievements in expanding into the military industry. The industry has shown a chain and cluster development trend.
 
Related industries have been developed vigorously. Such enterprises as Yin’ge Aluminium and Zhonggang Aluminium have been introduced. There has been an annual processing capacity of 80,000 tons of aluminium profile and an annual production capacity of 3 million square meters of aluminium veneer.
 
Luxi High-tech Industrial Development Zone has been successively approved as a provincial demonstration base for new industrialization industry and provincial high-performance composite industrial park. It is striving to build 10-billion-yuan industries and the largest high-performance composite industrial base in Central and South China.
